We left home with 2 goals, lunch (Mountain Goat of course) and fresh countryside views!

Both did not disappoint.

Winchester is the county seat and offers many beautiful avenues to explore.
We toured a large portion of Franklin, Co. The growth never fails to amaze me.

Tim’s Ford Lake is exploding, with high-end homes and businesses.

Many, many old mega-sized farms still exist, are beautiful, and are producing.

Another favorite in Monteagle is Mooney’s.

You have to go. We learned today that it is changing ownership after many, many years.

The building is ancient, the home of the Mooney family in the 1940s.
History matters!

The new owners also have a restaurant called “Lunch.” It is located at Sewanee, and we will check that out.
They offer organic fare and grow much of the food.

We also toured St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School, a private Episcopal college‑preparatory institution with a long history and a strong emphasis on academic, artistic, and outdoor opportunities—gorgeous surroundings and buildings.none love lake
